
Yevhen Marchuk will replace Leonid Kuchma as the full-fledged representative of Ukraine in Minsk contact group. It is the decision of President Petro Poroshenko. Previously, Marchuk was the member of the security subdivision of the group.
Kuchma, the second president of Ukraine chaired the Ukrainain delegation in Minsk for four years. In summer, he claimed he would soon resign due to his solid age. In August, Kuchma turned 80 and left the office. His successor Marchuk is currently 77.
