Yanukovych’s lawyer reprimanded during court hearing

Vitaliy Serdyuk, the lawyer of ex-president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, attended the court hearing, bringing a backpack filled with bricks and Molotov cocktails.

The lawyer wanted to ask the court to hold an investigation experiment in the case of murders of Euromaidan activists, which is why he brought these items to the courtroom. This way, Serdyuk tried showing that the protests held in Kyiv in early 2014 were actually ‘not peaceful’.

The judge reprimanded Serdyuk and asked to remove the items from the courtroom. The Prosecutors added that such action would be considered a violation.
