The Ukrainian court is now pronouncing the verdict in the case of Viktor Yanukovych, the former president of Ukraine. Vladyslav Devyatko, the judge of Obolon district court reported that on Thursday.

The prosecution insists on the 15-years-long arrest for Yanukovych, as he is charged with state treason and aiding in waging aggressive war against Ukraine. Yanukovych's lawyer, in turn, said he could not inform his client about the court session, adding that Yanukovych had a surgery.

The court has been looking into the case since May 2017, but Yanukovych never participated in the hearings.
