Western leaders to discuss extension anti-Russian sanctions

Anti-Russian sanctions to be discussed today in Berlin. French President Francois Hollande, heads of governments of the UK, Spain and Italy shall join Obama and Merkel in the German capital.

During his meeting with Angela Merkel the day before, the Head of the White House stressed that the sanctions against Russia Federation should be maintained until the full implementation of Minsk agreement.

He also added that he hopes his successor Donald Trump shall be able to stand against Moscow.

The sectoral economic limitations against Russia were introduced in 2014, which were extended and prolonged several times since then. Now the expiration date is January 2017.
