Volodymyr Zhemchugov to undergo treatment in Cologne

Volodymyr Zhemchugov, a Ukrainian prisoner of war, freed from captivity, arrived for treatment at the University clinics in Cologne, Germany. Ukrainian Foreign Ministry announced that today.

Zhemchugov will go through intensive medical examination in the clinics. His wife is following him during his treatment period.

As it was reported earlier, the 45-year Volodymyr Zhemchugov was detained by the militants in Luhansk region in November, 2015. He was accused of blowing up the railroad tracks and transmission tower near Luhansk.

Zhemchugov walked booby trap  which took his sight and his arms. The man was finally released on September 17th.
