U.S. Senators present new anti-Russian sanctions bill at Congress session

U.S. senators introduced their bill on new anti-Russian sanctions during the Congress session on Tuesday. Extended limitations are offered due to the cyber attacks during the election campaign in the USA and the aggression in Donbas, Eastern Ukraine.

Specifically the limitations refer to enforcement actions against particular persons responsible for the cyber attacks. These measures will affect energy and banking branches of the Russian Federation. The bill was promoted by Republican John McCain and Democrats Ben Cardin and Robert Menendez.

At the same time, no one can say when the senate is to vote for the bill. The only thing reported is that there are enough votes and the sanctions are to be introduced even before Donald Trump’s inauguration.
