Russia should be stripped of the right to host the next year’s football World Cup. Eight U.S. Senators signed the respective letter to FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

The officials demand to investigate the information about reported cases of forced labor during construction of football stadiums in Russia, which are to host the FIFA 2018 World Cup games.

Previously, Human Rights Watch and certain media reported that hired North Korean construction workers face exploitation and forced labor, which they don’t get paid for. According to human rights activists, some of the workers were forced to send the money to the North Korean government.

Moscow denies hiring North Korean workers and involving them in these construction works.
