US prepare for today's Clinton - Trump debates

17:40, 26 September 2016

The United States are preparing for the first round of TV debates between the presidential candidates - Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

They will be held today in a private university in New York State. The preparations are completed - the audience and the equipment are ready. The debates will last for an hour and a half.

The preparation process was linked to a scandal.  One of the ex-mistresses of Hillary's husband may attend the event - Donald Trump threatened to invite her via Social Media, and the woman promised to come. So the reporters expect a record number of viewers.

The polls show that Clinton is 4% ahead of Trump. And there are 20% of those remaining undecided.

The candidates will debate in three rounds.
