U.S. Navy's missile destroyer Donald Cook arrives in Odesa

U.S. Navy's missile destroyer Donald Cook arrived at the port of Odesa, Southern Ukraine. The ship moored at the pier near the Sea Port. According to the report of the 6th Command of the U.S. Navy, the destroyer is a part of the “Atlantic determination” mission.

The mission’s aim is to strengthen coordination between the NATO partners and to maintain security in the region. The ship entered the Black Sea on February 19, and has already participated in maneuvers with the Turkish naval frigate.

There are 56 Tomahawk cruise missiles onboard of the destroyer, the ship is also equipped with the Aegis Combat System. The destroyer shall stay in Odessa till February 27.
