US Department of State to dismiss office of US Special Representative in Ukraine, - media

Washington could disband the Office of the Special Representative for Ukraine's Affairs. Foreign Policy magazine reported that citing its sources in the US Department of the State. The outlet wrote that Ukrainian topic is now so dangerous and complicated no one wants to work on it.

The office was created in 2017, with Kurt Volker stepping in as the Envoy. He was not paid for that job. Volker resigned on his own request in September 2019, when the release of a verbatim of the phone conversation between the Ukrainian and the American presidents caused a huge scandal in the U.S.
