U.S. approves list of Russian companies facing final package of sanctions

The U.S. Department of the State has approved the list of the Russian companies, which fall under the latest package of U.S. sanctions. The list is now being considered by the U.S. Congress.

For now, the paper is not available for the public; however, the New York Times already published it. The list features 39 companies and organizations, servicing the Russian defense industry and military intelligence. That includes the federal security service (FSB), the Main Intelligence Department (GRU), Russian foreign intelligence, and such companies as Almaz-Antey, Kalashnikov, Izhmash, Oboronprom and Rostekh.  U.S.

The respective law on sanctions against Russia, Iran and the North Korea was signed by President Donald Trump in August.
