U.S. 2017 state budget: Ukraine to get $ 560 million to cover defense expenditures

The U.S. Senate has approved the consolidated draft of the state budget for the current financial year. The vote took place on Thursday, May 4.

79 senators supported the bill, and 18 said no. The House of Representatives already voted for the bill, so it is now only up to president Trump to sign the bill for the budget to take effect.

The budget foresees that the U.S. government would allocate at least 560 million dollars, 238 of which will be assigned for further reforms in defense and security policy in Ukraine. The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine reported that at Facebook on May 2.
