Ukrainian political prisoner Panov may be transported to Russia’s Omsk

Ukrainian political prisoner Yevhen Panov is likely to be transferred to Omsk, Russia. According to his mother, last time she spoke to him to the phone a month ago, when he was transferred from the occupied Crimea.

In summer 2017, Panov was judged as a saboteur and sentenced to eight years behind the bars in a high-security penal colony. The Russian prosecutors charged him with planning terrorist acts on the peninsula.

Panov's relatives already contacted the Ukrainian consul in Novosibirsk, since there is no diplomatic office of Ukraine in Omsk.
