Ukrainian court to pronounce verdict in Yanukovych’s state treason case

Obolon district court in Kyiv will begin to pronounce the verdict in the case of Viktor Yanukovych, the ex-president of Ukraine. The respective message appeared on the court's website.

The former head of the Ukrainian state is charged with several tough crimes, including state treason, aiding the deliberate actions against the state borders of Ukraine and aiding in waging the aggressive war.

The former Ukrainian leader has been fleeing from Ukrainian justice in Russia for almost five years now. The prosecution insists that Yanukovych is sentenced to 15 years behind the bars.
