Ukraine’s Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor charged with secret information disclosure

Nazar Kholodnytsky, the chief of Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, appeared at the Prosecutor General’s Office on Tuesday. He testified as a witness; the investigation team wants his voice samples recorded, but the official denied, saying that these samples are in the open sources on the web.

He added he would ask the prosecution to remove him from the office during the period of the investigation. Kholodnytsky is charged with giving a bribe to the acting healthcare minister Ulyana Suprun, and also with secret information disclosure.

Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko demands to remove Kholodnytsky from his office. The court is to consider the request and the case materials two months later.
