Ukraine’s most distant polling stations opens on South Pole

34 Ukrainians will be able to vote 15,000 kilometers away from their home country, in the South Pole. Academic Vernadsky polar station is the location of the most distant polling station, which will be working on the election day.

Thus, 34 members of the expedition crew from Ukraine can vote on March 31.  They will also monitor the results as the election commission, which consists of four people will count the votes. Scanned copies will be sent to the Central Election Committee of Ukraine.
