The Javelins, the U.S. anti-tank weapons should be kept away from the frontline in war-torn eastern Ukraine. The Wall Street Journal released the article on the issue, quoting sources in the U.S. government.

Washington insists that the modern weaponry stay out of reach of the adversaries of Ukrainian troops – which already happened before, when the U.S. radar system in Donbas ended up in the hands of Russian militants in 2014. The U.S. administration wants Ukraine to use the weapons exclusively for the purposes of defense, not offense.

Previously, ABC News TV channel said the U.S. government considers sending to Ukraine 35 missile launchers and 200 missiles, worth totally 47 million U.S. dollars.
