Ukrainians celebrate the Flag Day. The state holiday is marked annually since 2004. The festive events are taking place all over the country.

In Kyiv, hundreds of common citizens unfurled the large blue and yellow banner, which made the nation-wide record, being 2,700 meters in length. According to them, every hundred meters equal a year of Ukraine’s independence, as the country gained it in 1991.

Another two records were set in Dnipro city, southeastern Ukraine, where the mast’s height made 72 meters, and the flag itself appeared to be 18 meters in length.
