Russia-backed militants handed over two hostages to Ukraine. Olha Svorak and Angelika Presnyakova were forcefully held on the occupied territory for a while.

Svorak is the correspondent of the Ivano-Frankivsk web-site “Golos-Info”. On March she went to visit her friend serving in one of the militants’ units in Luhansk region. She was detained in Antratsyt, Luhansk region, for four months. She later told to the journalists that she was on a special mission granted by the Security Service of Ukraine. Now that she is released she is not willing to comment on this.

The judge from the Donetsk region Angelika Presnyakova says she was detained in June 2016 on the Mariinka check point on her way back from her sick mother.
