Tribute to Heavenly Hundred Heroes in Kyiv: day two

The days of mourning over the Heavenly Hundred in Kyiv continue. On Sunday and Monday, people came to honor the memory of the peaceful protesters who deceased during the Revolution of Dignity in Kyiv in early 2014; these people are collectively referred to as the Heavenly Hundred.

On Monday, several hundred citizens – those who witnessed and survived these events, and friends and families of the victims came to the downtown Kyiv, carrying candles and photos taken during these tragic events.

On February 18-20, 2014, about a hundred of unarmed rally participants were either beaten to death or fatally shot as the-then riot police and government-hired thugs tried to crack down the protest. Several policemen deceased as well.

The deadly climax of the street fights in Kyiv claimed over a hundred of lives; dozens gone missing, while almost a thousand more sustained various injuries.
