The OSCE observers withdraw from Svitlodarsk, Donetsk region, due to intense shooting

The OSCE  Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine was forced to evacuate its forward patrol base from Svitlodarsk due to heavy shelling on December 24. This is stated in the report of the mission published on Tuesday.

According to the report, the proximity of artillery round impacts was as close as 70m to the base on 23 December, which broke windows on the upper floors of the building of the mission.

The SMM returned to its forward patrol base in Svitlodarsk on December, 26.
