The investigation in the case of MP Nadiya Savchenko may last for 2-3 months. Yuriy Lutsenko, Ukraine’s prosecutor general said that in an interview.

According to him, it is exactly how long it takes to complete the investigation and pass the materials to the court, which will set off the trial procedure. Thus, Savchenko and her lawyers may receive the materials in June or early July.

The scandalous MP faces either from 10 to 15 years in jail, or the life sentence. Former helicopter pilot of Ukraine’s Air Force, Savchenko is accused of a number of crimes against the state: a coup d'etat attempt, organization of murder attempt on the lives of top officials, preparing a terrorist act, aiding terrorist activity and the illegal gun handling.

The Ukrainian government assumes Savchenko acted in the interests of the Russian Federation.
