Russian Orthodox Church follows the path of self-isolation and conflict with the entire world’s orthodoxy. Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko said this at the meeting with exarchs of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Kyiv.

‘Russia opposes itself to the whole world in the issues of Russian aggression in Eastern Ukraine, illegal annexation of Crimea, concerning Abkhasia, South Ossetia and Transnistria,” the President said.

“I hoped that it would not happen, but we have to be ready to that and, at the same time, we prayed for enjoying the autocephaly from God through the hands of His Holiness,” the President concluded.
