Russia to pass Ukraine out-of-commission military vehicles, based in Crimea

Russia is ready to return to Ukraine the old military vehicles based in Crimea. Russian president Vladimir Putin mentioned that at a press conference on Thursday.

‘We’re ready to give Ukraine back the combat vessels, aviation, and armored vehicles from Crimea. These vehicles – dozens of ships and combat aircraft – are in terrible conditions’, he said.

In 2014, Russia said it would pass Ukraine 350 firearms and military vehicles within the asset inventory in Crimea. It appeared to be basically Soviet-made vehicles of the 1970s; the Russian government said they could not be used in the regular Russian army.
