Russia equalized the so-called passports of self-styled Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics to those of Ukrainian citizens. Russian outlet RBC reported that with reference to its own sources.

According to their data, the Russian government did not grant any simplified migration rules for residents of the self-proclaimed republics.

They can stay in Russia for no longer than 90 consecutive days and then they should leave the country for the same period of time.

Vladimir Ivanov, the deputy head of migration department of Russia’s Interior Ministry, said that Russia still considers residents of the occupied areas as ‘foreigners and citizens of Ukraine’.
