Russia deploys additional forces on Ukrainian border during Vostok 2018 drills

General Staff of the Russian Army deployed some extra forces to the border with Ukraine, as the Vostok 2018, the large-scale military exercise continues. A spokesman of Ukraine’s Armed Forces Dmytro Hutsulyak reported that with the reference to the Ukrainian intelligence.

According to him, Uragan MLRS are among the vehicles that arrived there from Russia’s Far East. Boot camps, weapons, engineering facilities are being moved to the borderline areas; the weaponry and spare parts might be handed over to pro-Kremlin militants in Donbas anytime, Ukraine’s defense ministry says.

As is known, Vostok 2018 kicked off in Russia’s central and eastern regions on September 11. The exercises involve over 300,000 servicemen, with Mongolian and Chinese army units participating as well.
