Pro-presidential party triumphs in Ukraine's snap parliamentary election

As of 3 p.m. Monday, Ukraine's Central Election Committee processed 66 percent of digital protocols. The latest figures confirm that Servant of the People, the pro-presidential political force claimed the decisive victory, with more than 40 percent of all votes. In the view of the current electoral law, this party will most likely get more than half of the seats in the Parliament. Second place goes to Opposition Platform - For Life party. 


Petro Poroshenko's European Solidarity, Fatherland of Yulia Tymoshenko and The Voice headed by Svyatoslav Vakarchuk also make the composition of the new Parliament. The final and official results are to be released through the media by August 10. The newly elected lawmakers should convene for the first session by September 16
