Russia denied almost every U.S. offer regarding deployment of UN peacekeepers in the war-torn eastern Ukraine. This was mentioned in the official statement by the U.S. Embassy in Russia.

On Monday, Special Envoy for Ukrainian Affairs Kurt Volker met with Russian presidential advisor Vladislav Surkov. During the talks in Belgrade, the U.S. official passed Surkov a number of government-approved amendments to the UN draft resolution.

The Russian side only approved three of 29 articles. However, both sides agreed to seek further solution to the problem.
