On June 26, Russian envoy for human rights Tatyana Moskalkova came to Kyiv to visit Russian citizen Maksim Odintsov, who switched sides and joined the Russian army after the annexation of Crimea. The serviceman is charged with state treason and sentenced to 14 years behind the bars.

However, the authority of Lukianivske detention center did not let Moskalkova see the inmate. This is exactly how the Russian side treated Ukrainian ombudswoman Lyudmyla Denisova, who came to Russia to visit Oleg Sentsov, Volodymyr Balukh, Roman Sushchenko and other political prisoners from Ukraine.

Denisova will try visiting Sentsov tomorrow, June 27. The Ukrainian movie maker has been starving for more than 40 days now, which may entail critical consequences for his health.
