Oleksandr Kolchenko’s mother is allowed to see her son in penal colony in Russia, where he currently serves time. Interfax news agency reported that, referring to the colony’s administration.

The woman already reached Chelyabinsk, where the penitentiary service offered them a room in the colony’s hotel. Since Kolchenko ceased his hunger strike, his overall health conditions improved.

As is known, the Ukrainian is sentenced to 10 years behind the bars, as the prosecution found him guilty of alleged preparations for terrorist acts in Crimea. In late May, Kolchenko announced a hunger strike but dropped it after a week of starving, due to the worsening health conditions.
