The release of Ukrainian POWs is the main question discussed by the Minsk trilateral group, which aims to find the peaceful way of solving the armed hostilities in eastern Ukraine.

This round of talks is the ninth since the beginning of this year. Kyiv offers Moscow to exchange Ukrainians on 23 Russians, judged for the crimes against the Ukrainian state.

The previous round of negotiations between Ukraine and the militants, held on May 4, failed and the sides could not find any consensus, all the more militants increased the fire density in the combat area.
