A man who captured the footage of Ukraine's civilian aircraft being shot down in Iran is in custody now. BBC reported that on January 15.

The video revealed by the New York Times showed the plane being hit with a missile, then another one - within a time frame of several seconds between the launches. It also shows the moment of the Boeing hitting the ground. Iranian representatives arrive in Kyiv today; they join Ukrainian and French experts in decrypting the flight recorders data.

Boeing 737 of Ukraine's International Airlines was downed not far from Tehran on January 8. None of 176 people aboard survived the tragedy.

Initially, Iran denied any involvement in the disaster. Later, the government recognized that the plane was shot down by the anti-aircraft missile. The Iranian military mistakenly identified the aircraft as a hostile target.
