Make business at 75: a woman opens first hostel in Rubizhne, Luhansk region

She built, builds and will continue to build while she’s alive. A 75-year-old Yevdokiya Milashova promises. She is the owner of the hostel in Rubizhne, Luhansk region. The woman worked as decorator-plasterer since 17, headed trade unions at a local plant, but has never forgotten how to work with hands. After the retirement, she started a family business - renovation of the abandoned hostel. The #CloseEast project continues.

The total of 8 rooms. Financed by international organization grant, they repaired and furnished six.

She started to work because of poverty. Having graduated from the technical school – plunged to construction again. Later she was elected chairman of the trade union. But the work as a builder remained her favorite. 2 years ago she came up with an idea to create a hostel.

This way she realized her business plan - at the age of 75. Although, there were a lot of those, who didn't believe in her idea.

This film is presented by the 112 Ukraine TV channel in the framework of the project with the Ukraine Confidence Building Initiative (UCBI II), funded by the US agency of international development USAID. It is devoted to the people of Donbas region who have managed to change their lives in spite of the war unfolding in Eastern Ukraine.
