The military actions in Donbas will be running for at least another year. Kurt Volker, the U.S. special envoy for Ukrainian affairs said this in his interview for Politico outlet. When defining his meeting with Russian presidential advisor Vladislav Surkov, where they discussed deployment of UN peacekeepers in Donbas, Volker said it was a step back, as the sides simply got back to where they began. The next meeting is slated for December.
