Kyrylo Vyshynsky walks free. The Appeal Court of Kyiv released the Editor-in-Chief of RIA Novosti Ukraine news agency. On August 28, the authority changed the restriction measure from detention to personal commitment.

In May 2018, Vyshynsky was detained as a suspect in state treason. During searches in his office, Ukrainian law enforcers found a Russian passport, credit cards and the so-called "medal for liberation of Crimea".

Apart from state treason, Vyshynsky is charged with a coup d'etat attempt, separatism, incitement of national hatred and the illegal gun storage. The case against him is still running, and court sessions are supposed to be held yet.
