The US State Secretary John Kerry discussed Ukraine and Syria with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. The two politicians met in Peruvian capital Lima, where the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit kicks off these days.

The meeting was behind the closed doors. The representative of the State Department John Kirby announced in Washington that Ukrainian and Syrian issues will remain as those of the highest priority for the US diplomacy during this transitional period of the administration.

The Head of the State Department also confirmed this position to his Russian counterpart.

Approaching the journalists, Kerry was the first to address the media saying that Russian claims still cast the doubts.
