IDPs Business: Family from Donetsk establishes own farm

A farm instead of tourism. A pigsty and cattle instead of an office and clients. This is about the family of Olexandr and Olena Bryukhovets from Donetsk. They had a successful tourism business there. But they left the city after the occupation. The spouses had to master the new affair on the Ukraine-controlled territory. Not even a terrible diagnosis stopped them. The wife was diagnosed with cancer. A new episode of “The Close East” series follows.

As part of the project "Close East", we go on telling about people who make Donbass better for fellow countrymen and closer to the whole country.

This film is presented by the 112 Ukraine TV channel in the framework of the project with the Ukraine Confidence Building Initiative (UCBI II), funded by the US agency of international development USAID. It is devoted to the people of Donbas region who have managed to change their lives in spite of the war unfolding in Eastern Ukraine.
