The International Criminal Court in the Hague will make an interim decision in Ukraine’s lawsuit against Russia by late April. Olena Zerkal, the Head of the Ukrainian delegation in the Court, reported that. The Ukrainian side passed to the Court its diplomatic correspondence with Russia, as a proof of Kyiv’s efforts to solve the conflict with Moscow.

Russians, on the other hand, stated Ukraine never sent them any proof of the Russian aggression in Donbas, its illegal annexation of Crimea or any violations of UN conventions. Ukraine has been repeatedly accusing Russia of backing and sponsoring illegal armed units in Donbas, as well as of race-based discrimination. The respective litigation in the UN Court could take several years before the final verdict is announced.
