Georgian court sentences Saakashvili in absentia

Former Georgian leader Mikheil Saakashvili is sentenced to three years-long imprisonment. The sentence was delivered on Friday.

Saakashvili is charged with power abuse; besides, four the-then officials of the Interior ministry, Saakasvhili’s people were put behind the bars for the murder of Georgian banker Sandro Gyrgvliani in 2006.

The National Police of Ukraine expects this is not going to be the last case against Saakashvili in Ukraine.
