Gas supply system to resume work in Avdiivka

The gas supply system in Avdiivka, Donetsk region, is ready to resume work – a year after the shell fragments severely damaged the pipelines in this area. Oleksandr Kuts, the head of Donetsk civil and military administration.

The pipelines carry gas to Avdiivka and the seven adjacent villages. The city was cut off from regular gas supplies about a year ago. Back then, the shells fired my Russian armed mercenaries hit the pipeline network, which made it impossible to transport the fuel from the occupied Donetsk.

The negotiations failed, so the Ukrainian side fixed the pipelines by itself. The works started in August 2017, with the new pipeline running from Ukraine-controlled territory. It cost the government about two million dollars.
