A group of Paris citizens propose to nominate the former leader of the US Barack Obama as candidate for presidential election in France.

They created a website with the petition which gathered more than 40 thousand votes and pasted five hundred agitation posters on the streets of Paris.

Four organizers say they began this campaigning as a joke but expect to gather million signatures to convince Obama to participate in political race.

Presidential elections in France will be held in May.
