The EU demands that Russia release the Ukrainian sailors. The Head of the External Action Service Maja Kocijancic said this in her statement.  On April 17, Lefortovo court in Moscow extended the detention period for all 24 seamen captured by the Russian special service in November 2018.

Three wounded servicemen will be held behind the bars until July 26. The rest will be staying in detention until July 24. All are charged with violating the Russian maritime border from Odesa to Mariupol. The families of the detainees cannot visit them, as the Russian side regularly denies.
