35,000 people ended up as victims of the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine. 10,000 of those deceased, and another 25,000 suffered injuries of various kinds. Another 1.5 million became the internally displaced people.

President Poroshenko said this during his speech at the UN General Assembly’s session. The head of the Ukrainian state also urged the UN to send peacekeepers to the combat area in Donbas.

According to him, this would be the best option for the end of the Russian aggression and an impetus for Moscow to abide by Minsk agreements.
