Crimean Tatar activist detained on checkpoint in occupied Crimea

Russian FSB, the federal security service detained Crimean Tatar activist Raim Aivazov. According to Crimean Solidarity, human rights organization, the man was performing a check-in procedure at Kalanchak checkpoint in the occupied peninsula.

The connection with Aivazov has been lost since early Wednesday. The Russian authorities offered his family to turn to the FSB department in Simferopol, the capital of the annexed Crimea. Aivazov, the resident of Simferopol is known as the activist who helped a lot in sending parcels to political prisoners who are currently staying in detention in Russia.
