Court refuses to question Poroshenko once more

17:19, 22 February 2018

Obolon Court will not question Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko once more. The court rejected the appeal of Yanukovych’s lawyers who insisted on this as the questioning of the president was prematurely ended and the defense did not succeed to ask all questions.

The next court hearings will be based on the questioning of the witnesses by the advocates. They filed the list with 138 names but the court agreed to hear only 16. Particularly, Mykola Azarov, the former Prime Minister of Ukraine, Vitaly Zakharchenko, the former Interior Minister and Andry Klyuyev who headed the presidential administration. All of them are out of Ukraine and on the wanted list. The advocates offer to question them through video conference.
