Commander of pro-Kremlin militants Mikhail Tolstykh, nicknamed Givi, was murdered in Donetsk.

An explosion that thundered in his officer at about 6 a.m. Wednesday killed one of the key figures among the pro-Russian mercenaries in eastern Ukraine.

Givi, born in Ilovaisk, Donetsk region, fought against the Ukrainian troops since April 2014. An extremely cruel man, he was widely known for torturing and killing prisoners of war.

Ukraine’s law enforcers put him on the wanted list for various crimes, such as terrorism, abduction and tortures.
