Brussels hosts Eastern Partnership summit

The 5th Eastern Partnership Summit is underway in Brussels; leaders of many European countries joined the event, including Petro Poroshenko, the head of the Ukrainian state.

The major topics for discussion are strengthening of the economy and management mechanisms, making communities closer and developing transport infrastructure. The participants also will talk through visa liberalization and cooperation in education and science area.

Then, they will pass a joint declaration – after the event. As is known, the Eastern Partnership initiative aims to strengthen the EU ties with six countries in Eastern Europe and Caucasus – namely, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
