Brazilian who fought against Ukrainian army sentenced to 13 years behind bars

Ukrainian court sentenced Brazilian citizen Rafael Lusvarghi to 13 years in prison. The man goes to jail for membership in an illegal armed gang of pro-Russian militants in Donbas as well as other crimes against Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The court also seized Lusvarghi's belongings and charged him for 555 U.S. dollars, which is the expertise-related expenses. The prison term will include the time Lusvarghi already spent in detention by now. The Brazilian who fought against Ukrainian forces in Donbas was detained and brought to justice in May 2018.
