Attempt on life of Ukrainian MP Mosiychuk: lawmaker survives, two people dead

Ihor Mosiychuk, Ukrainian MP, was wounded due to an explosion in Kyiv on Wednesday night.

Mosiychuk and two more people received injuries and were taken to the hospital; meanwhile, the lawmaker’s bodyguard and a policeman died of lethal wounds. The Interior Ministry qualified the attempt on Mosiychuk’s life as a terrorist act.

The blast thundered in Kyiv at about 10 p.m. Wednesday, as Mosiychuk was exiting the building of Espresso TV channel. The lawmaker underwent surgery, and his life is beyond danger now. The police found out that explosive device was put inside a bike parked next to the building’s entrance.
