Crimea belongs to Ukraine, it is unacceptable to sacrifice the peninsula for peace in Donbas, as ZeTeam stated answering the question of Mustafa Dzhemilev, the Presidential Ombudsman on Crimean Tatars issues, Ukraine’s MP.

“Crimea was, is and will be the part of Ukraine, which has to get it back with compensation from Russia for the damage done by the occupation including the compensation to the suffered families and families of those who died in Russia’s repressions,” the statement of Zelensky’s team says.

“Exchanging Crimea for peace in Donbas is out of question. As is the separation of particular districts or regions of Ukraine,” the representatives of the presidential candidate stated.

They also replied to the questions concerning talks on Crimea.

“…Our official representatives will have to talk to Russia’s authorities. Yet, this has to be done along with our western partners, and not on the occupied territories of our country”.

Yet, they did not answer the question about Crimea’s autonomy. ZeTeam hinted though that such step might be implemented.

“We are convinced that the Crimean Tatars will have a precise prospect of free life along with an independent Ukraine,” Zelensky’s team informed.
